Mordecia Colored

Good morning everyone, here is my col-erase drawing colored. It's been a while since I REALLY colored a character like this. I think the Backgrounds helped extremely by warming me up to do something this detailed. And it's also my first time experimenting with coloring an object to look like glass. Other times I really wasn't paying to much attention (or I was lazy!)

Return of the col-erase

Good Morning everyone. Heres a rough sketch I did of one of my slightly newer charactes, Mordecai. I did the sketch in blue col-erase pencil (something I didn't know how much I missed until I started using it again). Truthfully, I use to be the col-erase Queen! Thats pretty much all I drew with...I either kept losing them or would eventually run out...
But anyways, one is back in my hands again and I'm excited to see what comes out of it!

Bamboo Trees

For this one, all I was really thinking about was the mood of the painting. I wanted it to be a little gloomy, but organic and peaceful. The day is suppose to be overcast, like it's about to rain (LOVE the RAIN) and I wanted a slight mist over the meadow...

Blurry Monkey

My first post in a while is a 'People watching' sketch. I saw a kid outside my apartment walking down the parking lot. He had some headphones on and looked pretty engrossed in his music. Pretty skinny guy, looked laid back... I decided he would fit well as an animal then human (since it's what I normally don't do in the first place). I was inspired the minute I saw him. It was fun to try to capture his personality. Speed sketching is one of my favorite things to do (even though sometimes I don't have enough time.)

Sketches at work

Soooo, I was very bored at work and to past the time I started people watching. Indeed it's a very interesting and educational experience(especially when working at a theme park). The way people move and act can be hilarious at times..and also gives some great inspiration. At the top is a little girl that I saw walking with her parents. I don't know why I drew her as an animal, but when I saw her I just thought ' cute little bear'. The hippo below just expresses my emotion some part of that day. Bored.

Speed Thumbs...again(smiles)

Here again are some speed thumbnails I did. Just to get more familiar with BG's (since I rarely do them anyway).

Sea Thumbnail

Another quick speed thumbnail I did today. This time it was underwater next to some colorful coral.
