Face Experiment

Not really one of my first self portraits since school...BUT one that I tried to put a 'painterly' touch on. I've still kept with my basic style but this was really an exercise on painting in photoshop. I usually use a lot of lines in my drawings and wanted to do something different.

For this one, I basically drew from scratch. Which to me, means no lines involved... and boy was it hard to get use too. But I'll defiantly try it again.

Here's the final render I promised for the robot pictures yesterday...with a familiar face. I did everything in Photoshop and really tried to play with different brushes this time around.

A scary old woman apart of Willow's universe. She's a strange hermit that lives in the forest. Some think of her as a dark witch.

Today is a rough sketch of a Queen. For some reason at work I started thinking of the Mayan society and couldn't wait to draw something when I got home...

Cloudy Mountains

Heres another early morning background installment. I still wanted to base it on yesterdays theme: weather. So I thought this could be interesting. Like the other its not very defined, but I like the way it turned out.

I haven't done backgrounds in a while, so I've started on a simple meadow. I guess you can say that my inspiration has been the current weather here in CA. Thats all I see at work anyway...

It's pretty simple and abstract but I really wanted to portray a certain mood.

The sketches galore. There just a part of some random fun that I was trying to produce one day...

Anyway, they have a sort of steam punk feel, but are clearly still in the ROUGH stage. Also this is where Mr. Blake made his debut for the first time in my sketchbook. Everyone else...WIP.
