The Pitcher pt2

So heres the colored version. I had base the design and style off of Rhapsody in Blue in Disney's Fantasia 2000. It's one of my favorite numbers in the movie.

The Pitcher

So this is my pitcher. I drew him when I was watching ESPN at work one day. It's crazy how they bend and work their bodies (especially the upper torso). I tried to exaggerate this pose a bit. For some reason this image just popped in my head. Also instead of my sharp angles and lines that I normally use, I tried to draw him with a lot of curves...

Blacksmith and Apprentice

So I'm finally back from my vacation. It's been busy these couple of months, but this vacation was EXACTLY what I needed to get the sparks going in my sketchbook. I had did the blacksmith on the plane to Minnesota, while the apprentice was done a long time ago.

6th Grade Science Teacher

Good morning!

Heres a sketch I did of my 6th grade science teacher. For some reason he just popped in my head and I started drawing what I remembered. He was a pretty funny guy, reminded me of an elder Fonze. He rode a motorcycle and would always talk about his summer home in Florida. He also had a hard time saying my name (use to call me Miss Braxton). Anyways, I think I remember so clearly because of his alligator story. I tell yah later once the COLORED version is posted!

Tata for now...

Mordecia Colored

Good morning everyone, here is my col-erase drawing colored. It's been a while since I REALLY colored a character like this. I think the Backgrounds helped extremely by warming me up to do something this detailed. And it's also my first time experimenting with coloring an object to look like glass. Other times I really wasn't paying to much attention (or I was lazy!)

Return of the col-erase

Good Morning everyone. Heres a rough sketch I did of one of my slightly newer charactes, Mordecai. I did the sketch in blue col-erase pencil (something I didn't know how much I missed until I started using it again). Truthfully, I use to be the col-erase Queen! Thats pretty much all I drew with...I either kept losing them or would eventually run out...
But anyways, one is back in my hands again and I'm excited to see what comes out of it!

Bamboo Trees

For this one, all I was really thinking about was the mood of the painting. I wanted it to be a little gloomy, but organic and peaceful. The day is suppose to be overcast, like it's about to rain (LOVE the RAIN) and I wanted a slight mist over the meadow...
